Breaking Through the Easter Monday Blues

Updated: Sep 20, 2022

Yesterday, believers all over the world celebrated Easter. People who had not been to church in ages poured into the pews to celebrate the Lord’s miraculous victory over death itself. Wow! What a triumph!

Now Easter is behind us. I wonder what they’ll do. Will the Easter story move them into a real life change, or will it fade away just like any other event?

This happens all the time. We’ve all read something inspirational, or attended a seminar about something we need to change immediately. We got fired up that day, but then went right back to our old patterns.

We’ve all got things like this in our lives. There are cycles of fear, failure, self-doubt, self-sabotage, and shame that keep us stuck. No matter how many Easter services or motivational speakers we listen to, we seem to end up in the same place.

Well, I’m here to tell you this can change. You don’t have to be stuck. This week I want you to do something a little different. It may seem crazy at first, but work with me.

I WANT YOU TO GET MAD!

That’s right; give yourself permission to get really mad at being stuck! Write down the biggest obstacle in your life on an index card or notepad. Then I want you review it three times a day (morning, noon and evening) every day this week, until you feel mad enough to take action. Click here to start building your confidence.

Because it’s then, and only then, will you do whatever it takes to break through. When we have come to the end of ourselves, when our own self-tolerance is at it’s peak, we are somehow able to find the creativity and courage to take that much needed step. The step that will move you from inertia and procrastination to action and intention. Are you there yet?

It took several lost opportunities for me to finally say enough is enough. It’s time for me to take action and live the life God created me to live.

I hope you'll do the same!
